Twitter Account Lockout

If you do not want your tweets on Twitter to be seen by users other than your followers, you can do this with a very simple setting.

When your account is locked, a lock icon will appear next to your name. When it is not locked, no icon will appear.

Now, let’s move on to how this can be done.

Let’s go to “Settings” from our Twitter profile. When we enter “Settings“, let’s enter the “Security and Privacy” heading from the left-hand side. It will ask you for your password when you tick the box next to the “Protect my tweets” text where we have indicated with the red stripe and arrow and click on the “Save Changes” option at the bottom of the page. When you enter your password, your settings are saved.

Note: When you protect your Tweets, none of your Tweets can be Retweeted or shared with third parties.
