Strange clicking on Sata HDD

Strange clicks were coming from the computer that was running autocad and netcad, with a pata (ide) harddisk on it, although it had a sata port on its motherboard. the computer was working normally, but just in case, I decided to replace the hdd. I took it to the place we bought it, they plugged it into another computer for testing, they installed windows, we checked it with hdd tune and it came out perfectly normal.
I brought it back and plugged it again, the same sounds, I opened it with the boot cdsi and ran the hd tune, the situation looked awful.
I tried to remove the sata hdd from another computer and tried it. I opened it with a cd, normally it does not exist, but during copying, the room was making the same noises while working, I checked the voltage. In my measurements with the avometer, the voltages in all the cables in the psu were normal, only the input of the connecting cable from ide to sata entering the hard disk was 12volt-5.2 volts and the other end was 11 volts-4.2 volts. There was an incredible loss of voltage in a span of cable, when I cut the cable with a pickpocket, there were no more than four threads in it like a hair. I saw that it was a hand, I immediately bought a new one, and since yesterday there is no click, it works smoothly.
by the way, I learned that sata hard drives draw more current than ide.

You can use new SATA Hdd on your old PC

Problem I have an old PC and its Motherboard does not support SATA, but It’s a very healthy pc and it sees every name, but the size of its HDD is very small and it has slowed down a lot now, how can I attach a SATA HDD to it.

Solution: All you need for this It is a SATA to PATA Adapter (picture below)
