Kingston enterprise SSDs receive VMware Ready status

Kingston has announced that its enterprise-class DC500 series SSDs now have VMware Ready status.

This new status has achieved VMware’s highest approval level for Kingston’s DC500R and DC500M enterprise SSD models and is intended for production environments. Demonstrates support in VMware vSAN and vSphere.

The DC500R and DC500M drivers installed in vSAN environments and vSphere servers offer Quality of Service (QoS) for applications with read-oriented and mixed workloads such as virtualization. Kingston data center series SSDs are designed using in-house developed QoS test programs that measure I/O and latency distributions at different block sizes and queue depths, and then tuned to our strict specifications for consistency. Both the DC500R and DC500M are tuned and tested for a low latency ratio that delivers 99.9999 percent consistency while providing high throughput and predictable I/O.
