Huawei and Swiss telecom company Sunrise achieved a data transfer rate of 3.67 gigabits in a test conducted on a commercial 5G network in Zurich, Switzerland.
Huawei has 100MHz, a radio frequency range of 4GHz to 8GHz. It has achieved this speed by using the “C-Band” spectrum and the next generation wireless network technology MU-MIMO, which supports multi-user multi-transmission and transmission.
The 5G millimeter wave used in US commercial networks can reach a maximum speed of 2Gbps. Huawei, on the other hand, was able to accelerate to 3.67Gbps without requiring additional spectrum and power supplies.
The 5G standardization process is expected to continue until 2020.
