Google Files Go New Updates

At the end of 2017, Google introduced Files Go, an Android app that helps users store files offline and quickly share files in your immediate neighborhood. Files Go saves users an average of 1 GB of storage space. However, by its nature, Google does not let Files Go get underfoot and takes user feedback into account as it works to improve the app.

There are three key improvements with Files Go’s latest update. Most notably is the addition of a search bar that brings Google’s best search features, including instant results, autocomplete, and filters. Users can now quickly search for specific files on their phone even when offline using Google’s invaluable search technology.

Files Go also finds duplicate files and recommends users to remove them. Users will have the chance to locate duplicate files before they can see where they are, making it easy to know what changes have been made.

Finally, Google Photos is now integrated with Files Go. When Google Photos backs up photos, Files Go will now recommend that users remove these files from their phone’s storage.
