“Until now, it has been emphasized that cost, speed and efficiency are the most important conditions of competition in the global economy.. But these are not enough anymore… In the changing business world, creating value and using our resources more efficiently has become a necessity.
The focal point of all this is the information economy… As Teknoloji Holding, we have accomplished many firsts in the field of communication and information technologies during our 20-year history, based on Turkey’s strategy of “being an information society”.. The last link of this approach was BelgeTurk, which we established after 22 months of preparatory work.. With BelgeTurk, we undertook the leadership of an industry by implementing secure e-Document management for the first time in Turkey.. E-Document management, which has been used in Europe for 20 years, will become widespread in Turkey in the short term and create significant added value for businesses.”
DIDEM GÜNEY ALSOY: “EVOLUTION IN DOCUMENT FROM PAPER TO ELECTRONIC!”
In her presentation at the conference, BelgeTurk General Manager Didem Güney Alsoy stated that BelgeTurk was established in line with the objectives of the European Union acquis and the Turkish Information Society Strategy.. Emphasizing that the establishment studies, which were started 22 months ago, were not carried out as in the classical method, Alsoy said, “Instead of establishing the system and then presenting it to the customers, we first conducted a research and identified the needs.. In this context, we interviewed 253 corporate companies and conducted surveys with nearly 500 end users.. 27 companies that make mutual transactions with each other participated in our pilot application..
Underlining that with BelgeTurk, significant savings will be achieved in the amount of paper consumed and thus the amount of wood consumed, Alsoy said, “Paper means the tree consumed and the risk taken… In every process using paper, there is a risk of loss, tearing, and burning, as well as the risk of archives. There are also labor loss and storage costs for. During the needs analysis process, a customer in the logistics industry stated that he sent 4 trucks of paper to the warehouse for archiving every 10 days.. It can be said that 12 thousand pages of paper come out of an average tree.. This figure corresponds to 10-15 days of consumption of small and medium enterprises and 1 day of consumption of large enterprises.. In short, we cut a tree either every day or every 10-15 days, depending on the size of the company.”.
