Avea made an application to Turkcell recently and offered both GSM operators to make mutually unknown numbers services available to their subscribers; however, when this offer was not received positively by Turkcell, Avea applied to the Telecommunication Authority and demanded that the institution act as an intermediary in reaching reconciliation between the companies. Receiving Avea’s application positively, the Telecommunications Authority decided to offer the unknown numbers services of Turkcell and Avea companies to the use of mutual subscribers. After the technical work is completed, Avea subscribers will be able to dial the number 11832 from Avea lines and inquire about the numbers of subscribers using Turkcell lines.
Now Avea Subscribers can send and receive MMS to subscribers using Vodafone line
In addition, according to the agreement made between Avea and Vodafone, Turkey In the GSM market, it was first possible to send MMS from one GSM operator to another. Starting from July 31, 2007, Avea and Vodafone subscribers can send MMS to each other.
