How can I change my phone number?
Change Number The feature allows you to change the phone number associated with your WhatsApp account. This feature has been developed to be used before confirming your new phone number.
If you use the Change Number feature on WhatsApp:
- Your groups, settings and ( Your account information (including your profile information) will be migrated to your new phone number.
- Your old account will be deleted so your contacts cannot see your old phone number in their WhatsApp contact lists.
As long as you use the same phone, you can see your chat history on your new phone number if you use our Change Number feature.

You can also change your phone number by inserting your new sim card into your phone and starting WhatsApp. WhatsApp will ask if you want to re-verify your new phone number.
Note: If you do not use the Change Number feature, your account information, group and settings will not be transferred and your chat history will not be transferred.
To avoid problems while messaging, please make sure your WhatsApp contacts have added your new number to their phone’s address book.
