Huawei more than meets the hardware needs of the telecommunications industry. The company made a statement and announced that they will be releasing their first Android-powered smartphones in the third quarter of 2009.

But don’t be in a hurry to get excited. Huawei manufactures these phones for Australian mobile operators. It is unclear when they will open outside of Australia. Considering Kogan’s Android phones, it looks like there will be a major Android war in Australia.
