Introducing its new products within the scope of IFA 2015 held in Berlin, Sony attracted attention with Xperia Z5 Premium.. Xperia Z5 Premium, the world’s first phone with a 4K resolution display, became the favorite of the event. Allowing video recording made a lot of noise. Accordingly, the screen has a pixel density of 806ppi.
The phone, which has a 23 mega-pixel rear camera and an autofocus time of 0.03 seconds, has no rivals in the market.. A 25 mm wide-angle lens, which allows taking the background from a wider angle in selfies, is located on the front camera with 5 mega pixels.

In addition to all this, Xperia Z5 Premium, 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, microSD support up to 200 GB, Cat 6 LTE, Snapdragon 810, Android 5.1 features come to the fore. The device, which will be released in gold, chrome and black colors, also has two alternatives, dual-SIM and single-SIM.

Worldwide sales will begin as of November.

What is 4K?

Thanks to the 4K resolution used in monitors in recent years, images and pictures look very clear. The peak point of the resolution increase, starting with 640×480 (480p) and continuing with 1280×720 (720p), 1920×1080 (1080p), is 3840×2160 (4K).. So more of the 1080p resolution we know is 4K.. The reason why it is called 4K is that 3840 is very close to 4000.

How is 4K different from other resolutions?

4K, which is the highest resolution level, is native to 4K. It provides clearer images than other values.. However, sometimes you can’t even tell the difference between 720 and 1080 p, but big screens are needed to feel the 4K difference.

4K on the phone

As we said above, to feel the difference It would be advantageous to have large screens. So, what does using 4K on phones with the largest 7-inch screen provide and take?. This causes the battery to run out quickly.. So the higher the resolution, the less battery life.

It is quite difficult to understand the difference of resolutions on a small screen.. According to research, many people do not understand the difference between QHD and 1080p.. Understanding the difference between Quad HD and 4K becomes more difficult.

Infrastructure mismatch

Many platforms have yet to support 4K video cannot provide. Although Youtube is slowly supporting 4K, the number of these videos is quite limited.. Other video providers are also largely unable to serve in 4K resolution. Moreover, it is much easier and more enjoyable to watch videos, TV shows and movies on a big monitor instead of watching them on a big screen.
Another problem in infrastructure is that Turkey does not have an adequate internet network to watch 4K videos.. It is quite unreasonable to talk about 4K when there are even regions that cannot watch video at 480p resolution yet.
For such a high resolution, how the processors will perform is also important.. For example, Sony will use Snapdragon 810 processor in Xperia Z5 Premium. While this processor is the focus of criticism from users and consumers because it overheats, how compatible it will be with 4K is a different discussion.
