Teknoblog.com – According to the latest evidence in the Apple-IBM-Papermaster case, IBM felt the need to object, suspecting that Mark Papermaster, who previously worked for it, was involved in a new technology that Apple would reveal.

According to the news in Times Online, thanks to this technology, portable devices such as iPod will be able to store more music, and in parallel, the current battery life will be extended. This technology is called “racetrack memory”. Racetrack memory monitors data using the spin of the electron, and this process increases the working speed and provides the opportunity to work for weeks on a single charge. Thanks to this technology, it will be possible to store 500000 songs on the 160 GB iPod classic, which can currently load 40000 songs.

Actually, it seems a little strange that IBM is objecting so much. According to the information received, Papermaster was not actually Apple’s first choice. Papermaster came to Apple as a result of Plan B put into effect. Also, when he announced his departure from IBM, there wasn’t as much pressure as might have been expected to stay with him at first. The court ruled that Papermaster should leave his job at Apple. Papermaster says that as a result of such a decision, he will not be able to find a healthy working environment in the industry, and that he will not be able to fully devote himself to his work even if he returns to IBM.
